NCRC Portal Account Setup Guide

Access the English Portal Only: Prerequisite.

1. Go directly to the official login page.

   https://www.kadoption.or.kr/home/eng/user/login.do?menuPos=25Crucial: Ensure the "ENG" language toggle at the top right is active. Do not register on the Korean-language homepage, or the system will permanently block you with domestic Korean ID requirements. 

1. Click the Sign Up button below the login inputs.

   1. Accept Terms of Service: Step

   2. Review the personal data and privacy policy statements required under the Special Act on Domestic Adoption.

   3. Select Agree to the terms and click Next.

   
   

2. Solve the CAPTCHA Image First: Step 02 (Verification Portal).

   The international verification window will load. Before filling out your phone details:

   1. Look closely at the CAPTCHA security image near the bottom.

   2. Type the characters exactly as shown into the input field.

   3. Why? If you attempt to send an SMS without completing the CAPTCHA first, the network request will fail automatically.

      
      

   

   
   

3. Submit Your International Phone Number: Step 02 (Continued).

   Find the Mobile Phone Number section.

   1. Open the country code dropdown menu and choose your nation (e.g., +1 United States, +44 United Kingdom).

   2. Input your full mobile number in the blank field next to it. Strip any leading zeros if your local mobile formatting uses them.

   3. Click Send Verification Code

   
   

4. Input Code Within 30 Minutes: Step 02 (Continued).

   1. Check your text messages for an automated SMS from NCRC. Once it arrives:

   2. Type the security pin into the Mobile Verification Code field.

   3. You have 30 minutes to use the code before it expires.

   4. Click Continue Registration to validate your device.

   
   

5. Create Your User Profile: Step 03.

   The account form will unlock. Fill out your details:

   1. User ID: Pick an alphanumeric username and click Duplicate Check to verify availability.

   2. Password: Choose a strong password (mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters,8–16 characters long).

   3. Full Name: Use your legal name exactly as it appears on your physical passport.

   4. Email & DOB: Add a valid email address and your date of birth, then click Submit to finalize.

Troubleshooting & Offline Alternative

SMS Not Arriving? Overseas texts originating from Korean short codes are frequently filtered out by international mobile networks. Look at your phone's carrier app settings to make sure global/automated SMS spam filters are paused. Try using a different browser, such as Chrome or Microsoft Edge, if the popup freezes.

The Manual Backup Route: If the system continues to fail, you are not locked out of the birth family search process. NCRC can process document and search requests entirely manually. Download the request templates online and email them directly along with a clear scan of your valid passport to: familysearch@ncrc.or.kr
